My new Udemy course F# From the Ground Up is now available - and selling well.

The first few videos are available on free preview. I've also put one more advanced video, the one on Generics, on preview as well.

If you're interested in learning F#, whether or not you have a background in other programming languages, please give it a try. It doesn't assume any real programming knowledge, and it's accessible to:

  • People with no coding knowledge but some computer literacy
  • People coming from other .NET languages, especially C# and VB .NET
  • People with coding experience on other platforms who are new to .NET

Here are a couple of recent five star reviews:

Great short and focused course for F# beginners. This course doesn't cover everything, but provides a good starting point to dive into F#. Introductory learning materials for F# usually demand a good understanding of .NET and C# (and sometimes Visual Studio) as prerequisite. Since I mainly use Python and have limited experience of .NET and C#, that demand was a huge obstacle. This course eleminates the obstacle by focusing on F# language features and using familiar Visual Studio Code + commandline environment. I'm looking forward to your next courses on F# (like database handling, testing, etc.).

Coming from a JavaScript/C# Web development background, this course is exactly I've been looking for. Very concise and full of examples as well as a lot of interactivity when getting stuck into the exercises.

I've also had some star endorsements:

If you've ever wondered about F#, here's your chance. The stakes are low: like all Udemy courses there's a money back guarantee.
